What Causes Elevated Blood Pressure Along With Erectile Dysfunction?

I am a 67 yr old mail. My weight is 245-250 lbs and 5 10 . I am in relatively good health and can walk 3 miles in 40-45 minutes with hills included. My BP runs 110-120/70-80. I have been diagnosed with organic caused ED. My doctor put me on 30 mg viagra but it takes 2-3 to get an erection. The erection goes semi-hard or soft within a minute once sex starts. I have tried taking 4 tabs and the results are a little better. i have recently started using Vierexin, 2 tabs daily and 2 before sex following direction. I could not get a hard erection to have sex at all. If I read erotic stories or see porn I can get a hard erection that lasts for a while. If I jerk off I can come easily. What is going on?

Having a hard erection with erotic stories means that your apparatus is at least partly functional. If you had had a serious vascular or neural disorder then you wouldn't be having a hard erection at all. Having softer erections during sex may also mean reduced sexual drive or a combination of organic (faulty vasculature or nerves) and emotional problems (reduced drive).

The urologist should evaluate your penis and order appropriate tests (if not already done that is) and the drugs you're using should be reviewed. Sometimes drugs for the prostate or the heart may be causing problems (like anti-androgens or beta-blockers). Have you checked your testosterone levels? Is your sexual desire high enough? Perhaps you need the right stimulation... Have you tried using the erotic stories or porn before sex? Perhaps you should continue this discussion with the urologist.
