What Causes Elevated Blood Pressure Levels?

Lately my blood pressures been high i went and saw my doc he rasied my lisinopril in the interim ive got now real bad edeama in my legs i guess is a result of high bp, now my question since he raised my dose of lisinopril my top number of my blood pressures been good 119-120 but the bottom number has consistantly at 85-90, why????

Hello,

Don't worry the diastolic blood pressure may be elevated due to thickening of arteritis with age so the loss of elasticity so it won't decrease.

Hypothyroidism or aortic stenosis may present like this. Do regular exercise and yoga, take the low salt diet. If symptoms not improved please consult your doctor he will examine and treat you accordingly.
