Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
53 y.o female consistently low bp (~90/60) until couple years ago. Irregular heartbeat also started in recent years. BP often moderately high, (153/91with pulse59; 64/83, pulse65; 132/75 pulse 48) over past 24 hours. Sometimes highest in middle of night. Tonight bp is 147/117and heartrate is 50.
You may want to consider seeing your doctor for an ECG which would look at the rate and rhythm of the heart.
If this is abnormal then further testing may need to be done.
If the heart rate or rhythm is very abnormal then treatment would be needed. In some persons, this may mean medication, in some cases, a pace maker maybe needed
I hope this helps
