What Causes Elevated Blood Sugar Level After Consuming An Orange And Iron Supplement?

i was just diagnosed with gestational diabetes. my sugar level was 76 so i decided to eat. after eating just meat and an orange and taking an iron tablet, i checked my sugar level after two hours and it was the highest i seen 140. can it be that the iron tablet raised my sugar level?

Hello,

I don't think iron increased the glucose levels but orange may be raised it. Your postprandial glucose levels should be under 140. You should do a sugar limited diet.
