What Causes Elevated Blood Sugar Levels?

started taking prednisone 60 mg for 4 days for bronchitis flare up and blood sugar has been like above 400 I am a diabetic but it never has been this high and I take netformin (m) 500mg but have moved up too 50mg twicw(e) a day today it was 3 times and my kidmey function creatinine and BUN are elevated usually(metformin and the kidney thing but have slowed down aq bit on cholesterol and trygleride meds and creatinine has come down to top of range but not over same with BUN

don't worry regarding your sugar levels. once you stop your prednisolone your sugars vl be back under control. but please maintain your sugars so that your kidney functions will be in normal range.
