General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Flu some times may be quite distressing. It may take its time to heal even in spite of getting symptomatic treatment. It generally takes a week to be fine. As there is no effective treatment, not it is needed, we just advise to take medicines for symptoms control, and watch it carefully.

Our sugar goes high with any stressful condition, as stress causes cortisol release in the body which increases sugar, so this may settle once your flue is gone.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Mahboob Ur Rahman, General & Family Physician
