What Causes Elevated Body Temperature After A Whiplash Injury?

I had a swip lash, but not from a car accident, this was saturday. Anyway as am sitting watching TV, I started to fell extremely hot around my head, but more so my forehead. The rest of my body felt normal, but I took a body temperature check and it turned out to be normal, like normal should. I did of course tried to cool myself with a cool washcloth and it did help, but it went on and is still happening as I write is Q. Thank you for. Warner
