General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Tachycardia is a rare side-effect of Prednisone but it cannot be ruled out. I would advise you to discuss this with your general physician. If Prednisone is the reason for your tachycardia then it may have to be stopped as it may lead to cardiac problems.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
