What Causes Elevated Liver Enzyme Levels Along With Vertigo?
Hi, a good friend just had her blood work results come back today and her liver enzymes are over 350. she is 36, overweight, hypoglycemic, has non-alcoholic fatty liver disease, and experiences severe symptoms of vertigo on a pretty consistent basis. Her doctor has asked her to come in to her office the day she gets back into town from a funeral. I wasn t able to find anything online that included these symptoms and I am very concerned.
Hi Welcome to HCM. Sorry to know about your friend. Vertigo or dizziness may be due to fatigue present in non alcoholic fatty liver disease.Liver enzymes high, over weight, fatigue all favour the diagnosis of non alcoholic fatty liver disease or gall bladder stones. Risk factors for this liver problem may be obesity, polycystic ovar syndrome, high cholestrol in blood etc. In this condition,There are increased chances of person falling prey to viral hepatitis or cirrhosis. Certain investigations need to be done foe risk assessment like blood lipids, blood glucose,USG abdo. Recommendations include- -Keeping body weight under control. -Vaccines for Hepatitis A and B as preventive prophylaxis. Certain medications may be started by consulting physician. Hope this information helps.
