What Causes Elevated Liver Enzyme Levels?

I have never had elevated liver enzymes before. I have never used illegal drugs strictly monitor Tylenol eat healthy exercise daily and have one glass of red wine per day. I had an acute Mi October 3 and recently had blood work after working out at rehab. My ALT was mildly elevated but my SGOT was almost twice normal. The nurse said my enzymes had come way down since my last hospital work up. Is this due to my acute MI. From which I’m recovering very well no surgery required and I had no risk factors. Will these numbers return to normal?

Might be due to fatty liver. Ast alt frequently are seen at slightly higher side in asymptomatic individuals. No need to worry in case no other symptoms like jaundice appear. However need to follow up and get tested again after a month or so
