What Causes Elevated Liver Enzymes And Body Itching?
13 years ago sgot 900 sgpt 1200,32 wk pregnant twins. delivered baby boy & Girl. Also had severe pre-eclampsia. I know when there elevated because I iched. No one believe's me when I tell them, even though they had the test results to prove it. Then the doctor told me they had never seen someone like me. 32wk pregnant and sgot & sgpt thru the roof. As of 4/06 they tested at 43. Since then enzyme levels go up and down. I can tell by how ichy I am. Ultra sound show mild kidney damage but nothing else. Should I have it re-evaluated?
Just now as per latest report mentioned it is 43 that is not elevated level If your liver enzymes value raised to more than two folds rise than proper evaluation necessary.. Itching is also present so bile canaliculi injury or obstructive cause evaluated through GGT, ALP testing, serum bilirubin and USG abdomen..
If in repeat follow up test liver enzymes high than investigate with serum hbsag testing, anti HCV testing, repeat USG, HIDA scan(if needed) for further evaluation
Take care
Hope your concern solved
