What Causes Elevated Liver Enzymes While On Crestor?

my doctor called me to discuss my liver enzymes being elevated. they are checked at least twice a year last time being Dec. now it is Feb. when blood was drawn. I don't drink but am on a statin drug Crestor for about two years. Could this be the culprit. I'm healthy, eat well.

Hello

Doctors periodically check liver enzymes in patients taking statins since they can indeed cause a rise in the enzyme levels. If the elevation is mild, there's no need to stop the statins
