What Causes Elevated Liver Enzymes?
my daughter who liver numbers keep getting high and a doctor she went to today said if her primary doctor doesnt change her appt she has to today instead of later in the month to go right to the er and have them check everything and that she might have to be addmitted. would cysts on the liver cause this. she is 50 years old

Hello,
If liver enzymes values keep going high than the underlying cause has to be ruled out. The hepatitis esp. Viral hepatitis, drug induced hepatitis etc can be various reason.
You need to investigate her with ultrasonography abdomen, serum protein estimation and PT estimation for primary work up.
