Hi welcome to HCM. Enlarged heart in your case is due to long standing effect oh high blood pressure.Conduction of impulses can be aberrant in a hypertrophied heart which can give rise to palpitations resulting in elevated heart rate. This is usually termed as PSVT/supra ventricular tachycardia. Most of the cases are benign and asymptomatic. In cases causing distressing symptoms drug therapy in the form of beta blockers is warranted.Have a baseline ECG a 2 dimensional echocardiography to rule out organic heart disease. In resistant cases radio frequency ablation helps .Consult your Cardiologist for further help. Thank You.
