Hello,

High pulse rate and palpitations may indicate arrhythmia. Arrhythmias can be caused by various disorders including heart disorders but also anemia, electrolyte disorders etc. Clinical assessment and an ECG is required to detect an arrhythmia particularly if you still have more beats per minute than normal.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Panagiotis Zografakis,
