What Causes Elevated Testesterone Level?

I m going to be 25 in a couple months and after getting lab work done on my blood the results came back showing that I have an elevated level of testesterone as well as bilirubin. Can these two be connected? About a year ago I had a minor case of gynecomastia which ended up going away on its own. I don t use any steroids or anything of that sort. Only substances I use are marihuana and alcohol (both of which I use quite sparingly).

Hi i did review your concern.
elevated testosterone can be due to testis or adrenal gland hypersecretion or it could be due improper metabolism by liver.
I would recommend you to get few more blood tests like 17-oh progesterone and dehydroepiandrostenedione (DHEA) test to confirm the site of over production and it may also help in delineating certain causes.

I would recommend you to discontinue marijuana as it is not good for your health
i hope this helps
wish you all the best
thank you for choosing hcm.
