What Causes Elevated Troponin Levels And Chest Pain?

my 15 year old nephew is in the ER now with elevated troponin levels, and migraine. he has c/o heaviness with some chest pain as well. I told my sis is it more than likely stress related as he has been bullyed at school, recently switched schools and is now happier but kinda high strung which leads me to believe stress

Elevated troponin levels is a clear indication of some heart problem or some damage to the heart like inflammation, myocarditis etc. Thus he has pain in the chest. It can be stress induced but hope the child was not hurt in school. Let him get thoroughly investigated & treated. This is a time when he should be emotionally supported. Let him first recover, do not force him to school.
