This medication worked for me in the beginning now my blood glucose is higher than ever between 140-240 I m afraid to eat anything I m only taking 2mg. once daily why did it stop working been on it about 6months.
From details given I understand you were on Metformin for blood glucose control and it did not reduce the blood glucose. Plus you kept on eating in the night. Secondly you have started some other medication, name of which is not given. So difficult to understand what is being taken. Since you have mentioned 2 mg tablet, it could be probably Glimiperide 2 mg tablet is that so? Another aspect there is no mention of fasting, PP glucose levels, HbA1c%, weight, height, dietary pattern, extent of daily exercise, lipid profile, serum creatinine, urea and your age.
Because in treating diabetes drugs appropriately selected once, plus diet control and regular exercise that is adapting a modified lifestyle are very vital. Please understand in a well controlled diabetes patient fasting glucose should be
