What Causes Elevation In Liver Enzymes?

I would like to know what cause my liver enzyme so extremely high. I do not smoke or use any kind of drug. I drink occasionally like new year, Christmas, thanksgiving and sometime when I travel on vacation. Even through I drink I only drink one glass at most. I have not drink for awhile since January 01, 2016. I am a coffee drinker but only one cup a day. I don t have high blood pressure. I don t have hepatitis. I am not over weight. I do gardening and use to have exercise four days per week for an hour and 30 min. I have not exercise for the last 5 months due to busy schedule with school. In September 2009, I had fibroi removed and scrape the scared on my endomitritis because I have heavy period and very painful. Since then, I don t have any pain and a year later I do not have any more period. I think I eat very healthy food. So, I am just have a blood test done and it show that my liver enzyme was extremely high. I am very concern and worry.

Hi...Can understand your concern..As per your query about causes of elevation in liver enzymes can be caused due to various reason ...Most of the liver enzymes are formed inside the liver and get elevated whenever there is any injury or damage to the liver cells.This damage can be in any form like prolonged usr of medications like analgesics,alcohol abuse,high fatty diet,fatty liver disease or cirrhosis of liver..These are the most commonly seen conditions in which liver enzymes get elevated..Another possible reason for elevation in liver enzymes is hepatitis..I suggest you to eat low fat and sugar diet..increase fibre content in your diet.Increase intake of fruits having antioxidants like lemon oranges,berries and other fruits..Do regular exercises like yoga and aerobics..Avoid alcohol and usage of pain killers and other medications.Mandatory medications to be taken by advice of your physician..and consult your physician to get proper diagnosis and treatment.I hope the information helps you.Take care.
