What Causes Elevation In The Blood Sugar Level?

Doctor, I had a blood test done recently and my ferritin level is said to be high. The figure is 225. Pls what can I do to get it to the normal figure.? Again the result also said I have an elevated sugar level. The figure for that is 135, pls what should I do.?

Dear Patient,

The high ferritin and elevated blood sugar could mean a condition called hemochromatosis. A liver ultrasound or CT scan would be a helpful test.
