What Causes Emotional Distress And Excessive Crying?

Hello, I am a 35yo female who feels that my emotions are out of control. At times all I want to do is cry. My mind is constantly going about all kinds of things.(nothing in particular) I am always tired. I have a hard time concentrating on anything. I get angry at times. I have a history of high blood pressure, asthma, not taking any medications. I had a partial hysterectomy about a year ago. I just feel really unstable. Could my hormones be out of wack?
