Psychiatrist 's  Response
Hello thanks for asking from HCM for your health related queries

I can understand your concern. Zoloft is Sertraline and is an antidepressant drug. Risperidone is an antipsychotic drug. Both drugs are used commonly in schizophrenia. The symptoms like emotionless face, lack of laughter, inability to cry, lack of emotions etc could be occurring due to his persistent negative symptoms of schizophrenia. Some times antipsychotic medicines also cause expressionless face. As his symptoms are persisting so I would advise you to discuss with his psychiatrist for re-evaluation and treatment.

Medicines like AMISULPIRIDE have excellent roles in such negative symptoms. The medicine helps to reduce the negative symptoms and helps in leading a normal life. Please discuss with his doctor for this medicine.

Thanks, Hope this helps you. Take care
