What Causes Enhanced Hearing?

I have a strange type of super hearing. I can hear children laughing while im in the house, and I see them down the road a few houses away. When someone types on the keyboard, I can hear each plastic key hit the metal underneath and make a cling. When I watch TV, i hear it in surround sound even though its not. Also, my eyes are red and itchy. I cant even get my contacts in. And I have been sleeping ALOT in the past 24 hours. What is going on?

Hello,

Oh, right. Irritation of the ear, sinuses, etc. often is due to a virus. The sounds are not super hearing per se, but the hearing you have bugged you more and you notice it more because the nerves are irritated and everything is tangled. ANY nerve damper down (lidocaine like drugs, anti-schizophrenia meds, anti-epileptics) will damp this down.
