What Causes Enlarged Glands In Neck And Swelling In Tongue?
hi my age is 49 average weight fairly active. My question - the glands in my neck seem to be enlarged especially on the right side this has been the case for at least 6 months. Now my tongue feels to big for my mouh do you think the 2 are related. My weight is fairly constant I have been feeling tired quite a lot resently but I could put that down to other pressures work relationship ect.
hello, thanks for your query, neck swelling since 6 months could be due to lymphadenitis or tuberculosis, stones in salivary gland or inflammation in salivary glands. tongue pushing up could be due to this glands swelling. u may require ultrasound neck, fine needle aspiration cytology( fnac) depanding on doctors advise. kindly visit an ent surgeon for expert opinion. all the best.take care.
