What Causes Enlarged Pores On Face Of A 9 Year Old?
Hi. My daughter of almost nine years old started having some enlarged pores on her face about a year ago. You can only see it when you really look closely, but I ve never seen it in other children before. The pores definitely got more through the year. What could the cause be and what is the best treatment for it?
Hi! It seems that what your daughter has is the result of a skin eruption. The fact is that that there are sebaceous glands on the face of a person, when these get blocked due to sweat, we get a condition called as a pimple. If there is an infection, and the person, scratches away, we have a condition called as a blackhead forming. These can give the appearance of pores. They do not have a single specific presentation. I suggest that you require clindamycin gel which will clear the germs, if any. Regards, Dr. Neel Kudchadkar
