What Causes Enlarged Uvula After Taking Mthylprednisolone?

Hi,

I went to the doctor about 5 days ago with what they assumed to be strep throat and the beginning stages of an abscessed tonsil. I was put on clindamycin as well as methylprednisolone for the swelling. Yesterday I woke up with my uvula enlarged three-fold. Today, I finally feel a little better but I noticed that the white on my tonsils has turned brown. What does this color change signify?

I really appreciate your concern if this is infection (Bacterial) then this condition need to be treated with anti-biotic only no need to give the steroid (Methylprednisolone) anti- biotic alone gives very good result giving steroid some time flared up the infection and it is dangerous as you said here the swelling condition of throat could be due to this, hope this information helps you, have nice day.
