What Causes Enlargement Of Aorta Valve At Rapid Rate?

I am 64 years old, and by a ct can about six months ago, aorta was measured 39mm, now It is 41mm by a new ct scan. The conclusion in the report is stable minimally ecstatic ascending aorta . To me the growth is 2mm in six months, in this speed It will reach 50mm very soon, why is it stable ?
