What Causes Epididymitis Orchitis With A Negative STD?
hi ive been having problems with my left testical due to epididymitis- orchitis been treated with a injection of certriaxione and corse of doxycycline 3 weeks ago still havent got better and i also smoke pot and when i do it really bothers my condition went to ER twice been tested for STD's three times with a urine sample keeps comming up negative and iam still having discomfort and pain mostly by the end of the day it get really bad.. i cant afford to go see a urologist what can i do or take to better my condition

I have gone through your question. STDs is not the only cause of epididymo-orchitis. If such a patient walk into my clinic I usually treat him with empirical therapy initially, which is tab Ciprofloxacin 500mg 12hourly, Cap Doxycycline 200mg Stat then 100mg 12houlry, tab paracetamol 500mg 2tab 8hourly along with scrotal support. If the disease recur or not responding to empiric therapy. Mid stream urine sample is taken for culture sensitivity to isolate the causative organism and also suggest antibiotics to which the isolated organism is sensitive.
