What Causes Episodes Of Blurry Vision, Low Oxygen Count And Profuse Sweating?

Hello, I just turned 40, healthy male, 6 2 , 186 lbs. I exercise regularly, was an avid mountain climber and rock climber most of my life, and still do climb just not as much. I was at a restaurant and immediately after dinner my vision got blurry and I couldn t talk. It happened instantly. I was taken by ambulance to the ER. The MRI showed it wasn t a stroke. I had drank beer the evening before, but I only had one with dinner. This has never happened before, it was very scary. My oxygen count was super low, not getting to my brain, is what the ER doctor suspects is why my body shut down. Apparently I got really sweaty and started convulsing on my left side. What could cause this? Did I have a mild heart attack? Would an MRI pick that up? Thanks, Adam

Hi,

As you had the symptoms following food with no chronic respiratory difficulty. The episode could be coronary insufficiency needs to be excluded by stress test. Another possibility is over eating followed by diversion of blood supply to digestive system so the brain gets less blood supply and less oxygen creating the symptoms. So you do need a through health check up to find the cause of episode followed by specific needful treatment.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
