What Causes Erectile Dysfunction After Colonic Hydrotherapy?

After one colonic irrigation treatment I had that same day I experienced a problem getting an erection.
I had never had a problem before in the slightest. From that day on I have had problems 90%
of the time. I'm 58yrs old, this happened about 20yrs ago. I'm otherwise in very good health.
Is it possible something in my anal region internally got damaged, muscle , nerves, that
caused my ED problem ? this was something that happened instantly , before that day I
had very strong erections all the time. If so how could this be diagnosed ? MRI ?
Ultrasound ? And could it be fixed being nerve or muscle damage?

I can understand your concern. Colonic irrigation is a safe procedure if done by a good surgeon and this doesn't cause loss of erection as complication. Most likely you developed psychological erectile dysfunction after that. If the irrigation was uncomplicated then no chances that the erectile dysfunction you are having is due to colonic irrigation. Still if you want to get investigated then visit a good sexual medicine specialist and go for PENIC DOPPLER. This will help to find out blood supply to penis. Also get your hormonal levels checked especially serum testosterone, free testosterone and serum prolactin. If every thing comes normal then most likely cause of your erectile dysfunction is psychological.

Medicines like PDE-5 inhibitors as Sildenafil, Tadalafil etc are used in erectile dysfunction and have excellent results. Please visit a sexologist for proper evaluation and physical examination to find out the cause of your symptoms.
