Orthopaedic Surgeon 's  Response

you underwent decompression for pivd.
As you have not mentioned which level was pivd I am assuming the most common locations like l4-5,l5-s1,l3-4
Anatomically pudendal nerve plays a role in erection however it also involve brain pathway also.
Now certain has to be known if you are suffering from erectile dysfunction before surgery it may or may not have worsened after surgery. Erectile dysfunction after surgery can happen due to injury to neural pathways and generally fair number of patients enjoy earlier sex life in 6 months or so.
as you are saying that you are suffering from around 4 years or so , you definitely consult for erectile dysfunction.
Blaming surgery only is not correct as there are other factors which might lead to this illness.
Go get yourself checked to a neurosurgeon or spine surgeon whether surgery lead to this or some psychogenic illness is main culprit
Wish you well.
