What Causes Erectile Dysfunction?

Hi, I have a some questions about my penis. Although I had never sex but I do masturbate once or twice in a week usually since past 15 years. Now I am 28 and going to be married soon. My firsr questions is that is it normal to do masturbation 2 to 3 times in a week!?? I have read out already that it s just a myth that normal masturbation is bad for sexual health and there is not scientific and medical proof this that normal masturbation causes ED or any other premature ejeculation. My 2nd questions is that, my penis doesn t seem to be full erect when fully erectile state usually. Very few times it stands fully hard particularly during sleep or when I didn t do masturbation for long time. What s the reason? 3rd question is that I want to make my penis skin fair and clean as there are some black spots and lines on it. So can I use home remedies like we do on face for it?? Can I use honey massage for this?? Furthermore can we use recommended sex medicine for boosting stamina and strong hardness like male extra, vgrx plus, butea superba gel etc as these medicine are highly recommended and much espensive.

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

I understand your concerns and I will try to help you as much as I can.
Erection problems can have many causes. These include:Physical problems, such as injury to nerves or loss of blood supply to the penis . Other health problems, such as diabetes, high blood pressure, anxiety, and depression. Side effects of certain medicines. Stress. Drinking too much alcohol or smoking. The exam, lab tests, and sometimes mental health tests can help find out the cause of the problem.
Tretament is based on cause and include avoiding tobacco and drugs and limiting alcohol.
Also, talking about the issue with your partner, doing sensual exercises, and getting counseling may be beneficial. Finding and then stopping medicines that may be causing the problem. In some cases you can take a different medicine that doesn't cause erection problems. Taking prescription medicine that can help you get erections. These include pills such as sildenafil (for example, Viagra), tadalafil (for example, Cialis). In most cases this is sufficient for treatment but you should just be patient and do necessary tests.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
