What Causes Essential Tremors And Extreme Anxiety?

I have been diagnosed with essential tremors and extrem aniexty all my life I'm 45 now and the prescribed zanax just puts me too sleep not helping the tremors much tried 40 mg of vyvanse for four days no tremors and energy my neurologist said I should see a psychiatrist but I can't find one that deals with adult hyperactivity disorder

I can understand your concern. Xanax is a benzodiazepine drug that can help in controlling anxiety and its symptoms but it has not much use in essential tremors. Vyvanse is amphetamine drug and the drug causes excitation and in some individuals it is known to worsen the tremors. The drug can be used for hyperactivity disorders provided you have been diagnosed with it. As your symptoms are persisting so I would also advise you to consult a psychiatrist. Medicines like Beta Blockers especially Propranolol can be used for control of tremors and this drug will also help in controlling anxiety. Visit a psychiatrist for evaluation and treatment. Avoid excess tea, coffee, activating drinks as these drinks worsen the tremors.
