General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi.

I would recommend a visit to your doctor for an elaborate blood panel to be conducted. Bleeding for that long is not normal and I would really want to run a few tests on you. Chills also usually indicate a time when any bacteria or virus load is maximum in the blood and so collecting a blood sample during your chills would yield most acccurate results when tested for the most plausible infections with such a presentation. I would be suspecting a viral infection with a drop in your platelet count (e.g. dengue).

Best wishes.
