What Causes Excess Dehydration After Vomiting Long After Small Bowel Resection?
My grandaughter had to have 90% of her small intestine removed when she was born. She is 8 now and gets dehydrated easily especially if she throws up. Her mother takes her to have iv hydration. Is there a way that we could boost her immune system so that she is not get sick so easy.

I really appreciate your concern, nothing can be said without the clinical examination and going through complete medical examination, but as long as the immune system is concern it may be just out of the way if her intestine being taken out she has to depends upon the instruction given by her doctor, hope this information helps.
