What Causes Excess Fatigue And Unusual Taste In Mouth?
Hi.Recently I have been waking up with a taste of blood in my mouth. I don't know if this is normal so I thought I should get it checked. I do not smoke, never have and I'm not on any medication. Recently I have been very tired even after 10 hours of sleep.
Thanks for your query. The symptoms you mention in query are pointing towards infection . The blood in mouth in the morning occur due to many reasons like upper respiratory track , nasal infection or sinusitis.
The reason for fatigue is also infection .
I would suggest you consult ENT specialist (ear, nose, throat) for proper examination and treatment . Doctor may order blood test and throat swab test to confirm the diagnosis . Doctor may prescribe antibiotics (amoxicillin) course and decongestants .
Also consult dentist , because the symptoms you mention can also occur due to gum infection like gingivitis . Doctor may perform oral prophylaxis (scaling ) and prescribe antibiotics.
For now do warm saline rinses and gargles several times a day and maintain oral hygiene .
Hope your concern has been resolved.
