What Causes Excess Swelling In Back And Slurred Speech Post Back Surgery?

My grandma recently had back surgery for her double scolieosis. She has warm, extremely swollen, and splotchy arms and hands which the nurses say is from packed oxygen. She has had slurred speech and it has been that was every since the surgery. We think possibly a stroke? We just need a second opinion cause the nurses don t have a clue. She is also 70. Every time she breathes she says ow .

I really appreciate your concern, it may not be stroke symptoms but it could be due to geriatric problem still the only way to rule out the brain pathology get done the CT of brain with neurologist consultation, hope this information helps.
