What Causes Excess Tiredness Inspite Of Healthy Eating Habits To Child?

My daughter is 16 and is tired most of the time. She feels better after she eats but only for a while. She eats a balanced diet with whole grains etc. She gets regular exercise too. We thought maybe she was iron deficient but her tests came back normal.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello welcome to HMC. I understand your concern. if someone comes to me in my clinic with same complaints i would ask few questions to rule out the cause which include recent weight loss or weight gain, duration of this problem, any disturbed sleeps, anxiety, giddiness, urinary problems, upper right abdomen pain, allergies, respiratory problems, joint and muscle pains, past history of frequent fevers and throat pain, dehydration, constipation or diarrhoea.
i suggest you to consult a physician near you for further evaluation.
i would suggest for thyroid profile test, liver and kidney functions tests, serum electrolytes, stool examinations.
I find this answer helpful
