What Causes Excessive Bleeding After Taking Primulot?

Hi Dr I had my last normal period Dec 9 2013. Then on March 5 2014 I started bleeding again. Heavy clotting and flow for about 13 days. Visited the Dr and was given primulot n for ten days once daily. After three days the bleeding was arrested. On the sixth day I did an ultrasound. Results..six well defined intramural uterine fibroids..1_3 cm in diameter..as simple right ovarian cyst..endometrial hyperplasia. After 3days of the last pill heavy painful bleeding with clots . Is this normal? I am on my 4th day today. What should I do?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

Bleeding usually starts within 5-7 days of stopping primulet. The bleeding is not very heavy and its usually less than the normal. The periods may last from 3-5 days.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Iven Romic Rommstein, General Surgeon
