What Causes Excessive Body Heat After Menopause?

I want to know why I get overheated. Somewhat like a hot flash. Age 67. Post menopause by 10 years. I am 5 3 124 lbs. had rotator cuff surgery in May. Still in PT. No pain meds now. Ice. I take Effexor 150 sr and .225 levothyroxin daily. Occasional Zyrtec, Zantac, Ambien

Hi welcome to health care magic

You are taking venlafaxine and levothyroxine drug...

This first drug can lead sweating like symptoms... So it could be as a result of drug side effect...

Second you are taking levothyroxine at high dose according to history... So serum TSH level should be checked because overtreatment if hypothyroid by levothyroxine can lead secondary hyperthyroid.....
So check TSH level and dose adjusted accordingly

Pelvic examination also should be done...
And check your CRP level

Consult physician for examination and further work up
