What Causes Excessive Burping After Taking Amoxicillin?

I was on amoxacillin approximately 2 months ago for Lymes disease. Since then I cannot stop burping. The amoxicillin is the only thing I can think of that was new at the same time the burping started. Could the two be related? After a meal I burp relentlessly for hours.

I have gone through your query. Amoxycillin can cause stomach irritation or worsen gastritis. Taking Amoxycillin after food will be helpful to decrease these effects. You can also take h2 blockers like Ranitidine ( zantac ) for one week. This is available as over the counter. This might be helpful to clear your problem.
