What Causes Excessive Burping While On Heart Medication?

Hello im 40 yrs old i have stent in my heart i take many medicines for my heart but i observed i always burp n feel discomfort in my stomach the doctor gave me mucosta and pantoprazole every morning and mucosta every before dinner. My question is there othere medicine for gerd?

Hi,

Yes, there are medications for GERD so if these are not working for you then your doctor can prescribe an alternative. Some of the other options are Nexium, Prilosec, Prevacid etc.
Lifestyle changes such as avoiding aggravating foods, waiting 2 hours after eating before laying down, weight loss and elevating the head of the bed- may also be helpful as well.
