What Causes Excessive Crying In An Infant?

My sister s baby is 5 months+ in age. She was in breast feeding till last sunday.. My Sister is admitted due to Gall Bladder stone Operation in hospital on Last Sunday evening. From Sunday Evening she is in Nan 1 . But on monday night she started crying from 10:30 pm till the morning 3 am. We are just help less but can t stop her cry. she feed nan several times on that day. Now we con t understand what exactly is going on with her. is that for her mother or any side effect of nan.
