Hello i have a question about diprophos injections,i am 30 years old and have atopic dermatitis along with astma and my skin condition about 2 years ago starting to be wery worse and doctor givet me diprophos injections,my skin was returning to normal,but now notching else working i tried diferent medicines and nothing,i must take injections ones a week if i not do this then my whole body becomes werry dry ,ithy and then my all skin becomes wet by it self and starting to get wery painful wounds all over my body,my question is why is that happening that nothing else work and why injection last for only week ,thank you Przemek
hello. Frequent diprophos injection is no good. It contains steroid and long term steroid is associated with many serious side effects like increased blood pressure, increased blood sugar, cataract, decreased bone density and increased risk of fracture and peptic ulcer disease among others. Seems, you are having severe atopic dermatitis. Consult your physician and discuss alternative drugs like cyclosporine or azathioprine. However, they too cant be continued for a long time. Another useful measure is bleach bath therapy. It helps in controlling the disease and may reduce the need of oral drugs. On your part, you should avoid things which increases skin dryness. Like using soap and hot water for bath. Apply moisturizer liberally. Hope it helps.
