Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am afraid that my 11 year old daughter is eating to much- she is tall, about 5 5 and is active by running track, and cheering, tumbling for two hours x3 nights a week. But she still has a tummy. When she says she is hungry, we suggest fruit and or yogurt- we don t keep junk food in the house, no chips or sodas or sweets. How many calories do you suggest and do we need to keep track of carbs or fats?
Good day and thank you for posting this question. I will advice you allow her to eat well, as much as possible. She is an athlete and would require enough calories to enable her function well. Encourage her, she is feeling hungry and wants to eat. And also tell her to love her body and shape. I hope it helps. Thank you.
