What Causes Excessive Hunger While On Thyronorm?

I have been taking thyronorm 50 mcg for over 12 years. I recently tested my TSH and it shows a level of 2.43. It has always been in this range. I exercise regularly and maintain a very healthy diet. Recently i asked my doctor and was advised to reduce the dosage to 25 mcg and see no adverse signs (have taken the reduced dose for 4 days now). 1. My weight has remained fairly constant over the past 10 years (67-69 kg for height 5.6 ) 2. I used to be constantly hungry through the day even after eating at regular breaks. The same seems to have reduced. Could this be because of taking an increased dose over the years? should i see a change due to reduced dosage? any other side effects that i should look out for due to the change?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
Dont worry if your thyroid hormone level in blood is normal.

You maintained your body weight very nicely.
I think you can continue your present medicine dose, effect result change can take some time.

You can check out your blood sugar level.

Otherwise you are feeling take it positively.

thanks
