Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have this thing it s nighttime eating disorders my stomach gets hungry a lot very often it s when I m asleep completely it makes sounds like it wants food and it s makes me bops a lot like I m being sick in bed and it makes me cry a lot and it feel like to put my finger down my throat very often and it makes feel like not to eat food and just feel like just go on food strike
Cannot say in your particular case, but generally, the stomach responds to expectation of food and other psychological issues OR also direct stimulation of the digestive tract like putting your finger down the throat. This situation would be different if the person were losing weight or if they were thin or if they were fat. If fat, then it is plain eating disorder from wanting food. There are medicines that shut down the gut like amitryptiline. There are ones that regulate the gut movement like metoclopramide. and then there is a discussion of one's relationship with food.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
