Hello, I been having this thing going on for like a year now. Its probably not even bad but I don't know. I ben having mucus stuck in my throat for a long time. my mom gives me dinner and I cant even finish the plate because I feel like throwing up. I don't have a cold or anything, but when I throw up I throw up mucus. I don't know what to do honestly. My mom says I need to clean my stomach or something. Hopefully you can help me. Thank you (:
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of excessive mucus in the throat which seems to be due to severe upper respiratory tract infection due to bacterial or viral infection and infection is spreading down to larynx.
Need not to worry. I would suggest you to do warm saline gargles 2-3 times a day. You should avoid spicy food and cold carbonated beverages. You should take milk boiled with a pinch of turmeric taken at bedtime. Take soft foods to avoid irritation to the throat. Visit ENT specialist once and get it examined and start treatment after proper diagnosis. Take throat lozenges and drink lukewarm water throughout the day as it can provide relief. Drink spoonful honey daily as well.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
Get Well Soon.
Best Wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
