Hi Dear ,

As per your query you have excessive phlegm in your throat specially when you eat particular food like milk products and you also have alter sense of taste . Well the symptoms you mention in query can occur due to many reasons but it seems to me that these symptoms probably occur due to sinusitis and post nasal drip . I would suggest you to do warm saline gargles severeal times a day , take steam twice a day and avoid milk products for some daya specially at night . Consult ENT specialist for proper diagnosis . Doctor may order test like CT scan , blood test , and viral culture test to rule out condition like acid reflux and strep throat . Doctor may prescribe antibiotics ( amoxicillin ) at least for 10 days along with decongestant .

Hope your concern has been resolved.
