What Causes Excessive Saliva In An Adult?
Hi
I'M a 33 year old man.
From about 8 years ago,every time i have cold,my mouth keep producing excessive saliva. Which tortures me,because i most spit a lot,and swallow huge amount of saliva.and
I cant sleep at nights.
I need a injection medicine to takes effect fast on me.
Based on my experience,
Injection medicine is better than pills & capsules.like cetirizine, because injection takes effect faster,and also, excess saliva in my stomach, makes me vomiting a lot .so during cold, pills&capsules dont work for me.
I have allergy to dexamethasone.if i use it,i get hiccup,so i cant use it.
My question is:
Is there any similar injection medicine
Which stops my excessive saliva during cold, and dont take me a hiccup???

Injections like botulinum toxin type A into major salivary glands is considered safe and effective method of alternative medication, but the injections would have to be repeated after a few months. Permanent relief would be surgery.

excessive salivation (Hypersalivation) may be due to some pathological reasons that includes, mouth infection, (ulcer) non clearance of saliva, acid reflex disease, some drugs, toxin, rabies, functional, and treatment is entirely depends upon underlying cause, most of the time this is functional in origin, hope this information helps, take care, have a nice day.
